HOW TO BECOME SECURITY GUARD

MINISTRY OF THE SOLICITOR GENERAL

STEP 1

In order to be eligible to get a security guard license in Ontario 

You must be 18 years or older

You must be eligible to work in Canada (i.e., Study Permit, Work Permit, PR, Citizenship)

You must have a Clean criminal record (CRJMC) from the police department.

STEP 2 

To be eligible for a Security Guard License, you must have a valid First Aid and CPR Level "C" Certificate. At Safety First Security Services, we provide 32 hours of Virtual Instructor-led Security Training and 8 hours of class training for Emergency First Aid, CPR level C with AED certification.

STEP 3 

Once you complete 32 hours of Virtual Instructor-led Security Training and 8 hours of class training, you will have your training completion number to book your slot for the final examination. 

STEP 4

By using that training completion number, you can book your final exam online: CLICK HERE and pay $39.95 (including TAX). 

You will have a choice to appear in your final exam either online or in person. 

STEP 5 

If you pass the exam, you can apply for a security guard license on  

SECURITY GUARD LICENSE APPLICATION 

Pay $80 (including TAX).
